Feast Day of Chaminade
On Wednesday, January 22, the Chaminade family celebrates the Feast Day of Blessed William Joseph Chaminade. Father Chaminade brought Marian Sodalities back to France throughout the 18th and 19th centuries and founded the order of the Marianists in 1817. This order seeks to find Jesus through our most powerful intercessor—Christ’s mother, Mary. Fr. Chaminade realized that through the power of the Blessed Mother, he would be able to reinvigorate a love of Christ within a community that desperately needed it. As members of a Marianist school, we honor his legacy.
