Freshman Swimming Head into the Last Lap…

The Flyers Freshman Swim Team will compete in their final meet of the season this Saturday. They expect strong competition from other teams in the league, such as Fordham and Xavier, who will come to Chaminade at 9:30 on Saturday morning for the CHSAA Freshman League Championship. After an impressive dual-meet season with a 4-0 record, the team looks to continue their undefeated status.

Veterans Day

On Monday, November 12th, Chaminade High School will be closed to honor our veterans and their dedication to our country. The day will provide students with the opportunity to reflect on the service and sacrifice of the men and women in the armed services.

 

Fall Play Opening!

Tickets are now available for the Darby Players’ production of Shakespeare in Love, a story of two star-crossed lovers and the backstory to Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. Get Colorized

This past Thursday night, a large portion of the junior class attended “Get Colorized,” an evening of spiritual recollection and Eucharistic adoration. The night commenced with Build-Your-Own-Burgers followed by talks from Mr. Peter Carriero ‘96 and Bro. Ryszard Decowski, S.M. ‘77. The theme of the night was learning how to deal effectively with change and unexpected events in one’s life, an important lesson as juniors begin the college application process.

Senior Blood Drive

Last Friday, the Class of 2019 had the fulfilling opportunity to donate blood with the help of the New York Blood Center. Their contributions were impressive, totaling 82 pints of blood, essential to satisfying the growing demand for blood in the tri-state area. Read more about the event here.

All Saints Day

On Thursday, November 1st, Chaminade was closed in honor of All Saints’ Day. Mass was held in the Activity-Athletic Center for all athletes attending practice that day and other members of the Chaminade Family.
