Chaminade’s Spring Concerts are approaching quickly, as band and glee club members prepare for their performances in just over a week. The online ticket marketplace is now open, allowing users to purchase seats for the performances on April 27 and 28.

On Friday, the Flyers Band, Crimson Glee Club, Crimson Band, and String Orchestra will take to the stage.

Mr. Anthony Bavota greets the audience after the Crimson Band’s opening song in last year’s spring concert.

The Crimson Band will look to take its audience back to the good old days with a Stevie Wonder medley. They’ll also be spicing things up with the Cuban classic “The Peanut Vendor,” also known as “El Manisero.” In addition to these numbers, the band has several surprises waiting for audience members.

The Jazz Band, Gold Glee Club, Vocal Chamber Ensemble, and Gold Band will then perform on Saturday night.

Chris Devlin ’19 described the Gold Glee Club’s lineup, saying, “We have a few arrangements, but we are particularly proud of our medley of selections from Disney’s Beauty and The Beast. As for the Vocal Chamber Ensemble, we have prepared a really intricate piece that pulls together many of the great songs from the 2000s that follow the same chord pattern.”

The Gold Band has compiled a medley of popular Hollywood movie theme songs composed by John Williams, including those from Jurassic Park and Star Wars.
