3 Up:

Hit Me With Your Best Shot!

The varsity riflery team has been on target over much of the course of their season. After coming off an impressive win against Willsboro this past Tuesday (January 30), the team is looking forward to next Tuesday (February 6) when it takes aim at its next opponent, Massena, a school located in upstate New York.

Simply Striking!

After finishing an undefeated regular season with a record of 12-0, the varsity bowling team is in a great frame of mind as they hope to keep “The Streak” alive through the playoffs. The league semifinals will be held at Farmingdale Lanes next Wednesday (February 7) at 4:00 p.m., and the finals will take place at the same venue the next day (February 8), also at 4:00 p.m. Roll Flyers!

Going Beyond the Gates

As the seniors prepare to begin their final months at Chaminade, it is time for them to start thinking about life beyond 340 Jackson Avenue. During their final semester as Flyers, all seniors will have the opportunity to travel to Saragossa for a final retreat with their respective religion classes. These retreats all take place on Fridays and feature forward-thinking discussions about both college and career goals.

3 Down:

Water Rescue!

Last Thursday (January 25), the varsity swimming and diving team hosted the defending state champions, Fordham Prep. With multiple members of the team under the weather, the Flyers swam incredibly well and raced hard through every event. With seven events done, and only four left, the team was down by 10 points, but after a last-minute surge, the Flyers won by the unexpected score of 96-90

Welcome to My House…

This past Tuesday (January 30) and Wednesday (January 31), the class of 2022 officially registered in the Activity Athletic Center. New students had the opportunity to meet with many members of the administration, ask questions to current seniors who helped guide them through the registration process, and better understand their new family. Congratulations to all those who enrolled, and we look forward to seeing you in the fall!

Something to Grapple With

The varsity wrestling team competed in a tough match against the St. Anthony’s Friars this past Wednesday (January 31). The Flyers fought hard, but ultimately came up short against their rivals. The team is looking forward to a bounce-back performance in the upcoming NSCHSAA Wrestling League Tournament this Saturday (February 3) and Sunday (February 4). Go Flyers!
