Chaminade Students Assist Others Through Christmas Toy Drive
By Patrick Grindel ‘18
As Catholics, we seek to help the less fortunate, and in the Advent season, charity is emphasized. From Wednesday, November 30 through Friday, December 16, Chaminade is running the annual Christmas Toy Drive. During this time, students are encouraged to donate new and unwrapped toys which will be given to charity. Last year, an abundance of gifts was donated to Dryden Street School in Westbury. Jack Hardy ‘18 notes, “The Christmas Toy Drive is a great time for the student body to give to the less fortunate during the holiday season. It is the time of year for all of us to reflect and be thankful for what we have, so this event truly embodies the values we hold as Catholics.” Donations will be collected in the Darby Auditorium Lobby before and after school for the duration of the drive.
