It’s not too often that an essential new technology emerges – one that changes our work, entertainment, and daily routines. Such notable technological breakthroughs in recent years include the evolution of portable computers, the development of social media, and, of course, the explosion of smartphones. But with all of these innovations well-ingrained in our society by now, one must begin to wonder – what’s next?
On July 20, 1969, NASA’s Apollo 11 program successfully landed men on the moon. Although this was an astounding accomplishment at the time, the United States now has an even farther target in sight: the Red Planet.
The times have certainly changed since the original Chaminade High School iOS app was created a few years ago. Yesterday, Ryan O’Connor ’19 launched a new app for the school called “Chaminade High School.”

Chaminade’s Advancing the Mission movement has swept the school with change over the last several years, revolutionizing many areas of the Chaminade experience. Upon the S.T.E.M. building’s opening, scheduled for late November, 2017, students will be exposed to the state-of-the-art technology and outstanding learning opportunities.
Chaminade’s campus continues to expand, as a new building is set to rise along Jericho Turnpike. This new facility will provide exciting new opportunities to countless generations of future Flyers.
