Chaminade’s varsity soccer team advanced to the state tournament last night after defeating the St. Anthony’s Friars for the NSCHSAA crown.
On Friday, December 4, Vowinkel, who has played on the varsity squad since his sophomore year, was named to the 2015 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) High School Boys All-America Team.
Forty-five Chaminade student-athletes have signed collegiate athletic commitments to play a sport at 36 different colleges and universities. Twenty-five of these young men have signed a letter of intent for lacrosse, eight for baseball, six for soccer, four for crew, one for wrestling, and one for cross country and track.
Chaminade’s varsity soccer team netted its sixth state championship in a 6-0 victory over Canisius High School (Buffalo).
