Many members of the Chaminade student body assembled to show their families and friends their burgeoning talent on April 22 and 23. Armed with various musical instruments and their voices, Chaminade’s musical groups displayed the musical product of the past few months of arduous yet rewarding labor.
Those with a passion for writing may be interested in further developing their abilities this upcoming summer by participating in one of Chaminade’s two writing workshops. Both the College Essay Workshop and the Creative Writing Workshop enable aspiring writers to learn more about writing, but they focus on different aspects of the craft.
The freshman, sophomore, and junior classes learned about the true meaning of Easter by attending a special Easter Prayer Service in Darby Auditorium on Friday, April 22.
From May to August, Chaminade juniors will be given the opportunity to follow their interest in philosophers, such as Plato and Aquinas, through an online philosophy course supervised by Mr. Daniel Petruccio. The 15-week, bachelor’s-level course, named The History of Ancient Philosophy, will be administered by Holy Apostles College and Seminary in Cromwell, Connecticut.
The members of the Class of 2016 swapped their dress clothes and textbooks for summer clothes and Disney Park Hopper passes on Thursday, April 14, as they traveled to Disney World for the annual senior trip.
