In their their last game of the regular season, Chaminade’s Varsity Basketball team faced off against St. Mary’s on Friday, February 19. The game also served as Senior Parents Night, an opportunity for the parents of the players to enjoy quality time with their athletes.
Hosted by the Armory in New York City on Saturday, February 20, athletes from across the tri-state area came to compete at the meet. High school athletes, as well as college level athletes and even professional athletes, assembled before the spectators that filled the entire venue. Including Chaminade’s 4x800m team, which consisted of juniors Cameron Sherry, Christopher Loumeau, Chris Strezlinski, and senior Jack Rogers.
From testing the salinity levels of Long Island’s waters to determining the effects of iron on the reproduction of Chlorella vulgaris, creative projects overwhelmed Chaminade’s forty-sixth annual science fair. On Thursday, January 4, fifteen faculty judges spent the afternoon examining the projects, interviewing participants, and selecting winners.
